The International Observatory on Participatory Democracy (OIDP) runs an annual award for good practice in local government. The award is now in its 8th year.
The award is meant to recognize those innovative experiences and ideas coordinated by local governments in the field of participative democracy that can to be replicated elsewhere.
At the link below you can find the award information, the eligibility criteria and the form that the candidate’s cities must complete to apply.
The period for submitting applications is between February 3th and March 7th 2014.
Submissions, composed on the Award Application Form plus an executive summary (in Word format, two pages maximum), must be sent by e-mail to oidp@bcn.cat
The Distinction, decided by a jury composed of members of the OIDP, will be delivered at the next Conference of the OIDP, which will be held on 3rd, 4th and 5th June 2014 in Canoas (Brazil).
